It's a slow news day--both  here in Oberon and elsewhere. It's also Halloween! Which makes this the last day you can get the following three books for FREE!

Going Back to Find You

Because even a vampire deserves a second chance...

There's very little I like more than a good second chance romance trope. And vampires, with their close-to-immortal lifespans make it so easy! Like Conrad and Damian, for example.  But sweet Cinnamon Roll, Beta Hero Jason had been waiting a long time for his HEA. Maybe not long in Vampire terms, but he shows up in the first book of the series (in 1969) and I don't think he's ever mentioned there again. I thought it was time. 

This book was originally written to be part of Amazon's Kindle World promo and (as such) was set in Erin Nicholas' Sapphire Falls, NE world. I traded characters, back and forth, with a few other authors who were also releasing Sapphire Falls/Kindle World Halloween-themed PNRs at the same time, so that if you read them all, you'd get a much richer story experience. Unfortunately, when Amazon dropped the program, some of those other stories went away. But Romeo and Juliet...uh, no, wait. I mean Jason and Lizbeth remain one of my favorite pairings.

Cara was not originally intended to be a heroine. She especially wasn't supposed to be a heroine with a three long-ass books and a novella story arc! And now she's the star of her own Halloween short story? Well...sort of. To create Hungry Heart, I pulled most of the Cara scenes from Visions Before Midnight, re-wrote them from Cara's POV and re-assembled them into something resembling a story...and ended up with another cliff-hanger. 

Who'd've guessed? Well, Gregg, probably. Grrrr.

Scent of the Roses

I'm sure you have questions. Like, what does Scent of the Roses have to do with Halloween? And, wouldn't A Sight to Dream Of have been a better choice for this FREE promo?

And I have answers: like, nothing much. And, yes, probably. 

But here's the thing. There are witchy goings on happening throughout most of the Oberon books, even when they're not centered on Oberon's chief witch. And the promo I wanted to take part in started too close to Sight's release date. I couldn't be sure the vendors would change the price to FREE in time. 

Totally OT: I wonder if anyone's ever gonna tumble to the subtle (and possibly inadvertent) pun I created by releasing A Sight to Dream Of as the second book in the Oberon series. Sight is Marsha's story. Marsha the psychic. The character with second...Sight?
