This is NOT a new book. It's a fairly old book, in fact. It was a favorite from back in the day, but I've just returned from a trip to Louisiana, and thought I'd give it another look. Overall, I think it still holds up. I mean, I don't think any present day MMC's could get away with the level of naked sexism that Beau exhibits. And there's a voyeur who I don't think is treated as seriously as he should be, but otherwise... Two thumbs up.
